Last night in Santa Fe Old Man Gloom burned in a festive ceremony to burn away the entire year's gloom. Ironically a gas fire in San Bruno California exploded out of control at the same time. News people are saying that America is in a Patch and Pray mode these days with infrastructures of highways, bridges, and structures all at the do we patch em or pray for em stage of things.
At this slow turn of the seasons, leaves have begun to fall and the light of day peters out at a faster pace. Last night too, our first Burning of Gloom NFL style took place with the Saints beating up on the Vikings. North America spends more on war and football than anything else. Fun to watch on teevee. Bring Peace Home. Burning books never solved anything.
Nine One One 2001-2010
Under now-lit solar lighting overhead, the stars and stripes blow in the gentle New Mexican breeze and bunnies eat alfalfa pellets. Soon los conejos will poop 'em out and eat 'em again and poop some more, leaving behind almost pure non-smelling lightweight balls of chlorophyl poopie pellets that neighborhhood gardens will prosper from next spring. Life and death never cease. Seasons change. We may all die in 2012 or sooner; or later.
The only constant at BunnytownUSA is change. Rabbits deal with change in every moment of their lives. The natural world is an ocean of change. Prospering in times and dying in times, re-cycling is so much more than a paper or plastic decision. For many years, I could not fly the American flag over my creation of outsider art and rabbits. The flag flies proudly now and my days of moaning about the antics of life with 'W' have eased off the nanic gas pedal. My cyber child, and FRESHCHAOS.com sits quietly in cyberspace now with a full ten years of reminders of how it was before we moved into whatever the holy Hector's housecat of a world we have today.
There are Friday nights like tonight when I just need to make that connection with rabbits and earth and clear sky and sit back in my porch chair on top of this world that is so quickly turning. Behind me the golden crescent of a new moon flies below sharply sparkling Venus and I know that I have made it through another dark side of the moon. Thanks for joining me...
Happy Weekend...
Here's a spanking new web Gallery of BunnytownUSA as seen 09/09/2010.
